Dinosaur Embryo "Baby Louie"

Cretaceous (65 million years old) Xixia Basin, Central China
This cast is a copy of the only articulated dinosaur embryo ever found. The embryo is a theropod dinosaur with bird like bones. Scientists aren't sure what kind of theropod. Some think it is a monster meat eating cousin of T-rex called Tarbosaurus (TAR bo saur us) that terrorized what is now China during the Cretaceous Period. Others think it is a therizinosaur (THAIR-ih-ZINE-oh-sawr) a bipedal raptor type dinosaur with a small skull carried on a long neck.
